Hoffman Fabrics Bali Dots and Bali Handpaints are hand-dyed Batik fabric.
The batik process refers to a technique using a wax resist where designs are drawn on the fabric in wax. It is then soaked in a particular colour with the wax resisting the dye.
Hot water is then used to remove the wax. Another design can then be applied and dyed if multiple colours are required.
This process means that each cut of fabric is unique in its design.
